The Problem: Google Maps puts highway shields (i.e., highway labels) on top of highway intersections, making it unclear which highway the shield corresponds to.
Three Examples of The Problem:



Highway shields are labels.
A label’s purpose is to clarify.
In the above instances, the labels confuse instead of clarify, negating the purpose of adding labels in the first place.
